Privacy policy

1. Controller

2. In short

The Field is an offline game. It needs no user account, shows no ads and uses no analytics or tracking services. We do not share data with advertising networks or data brokers.

3. Data on your device

Your save game (farm, character, name of the farm shop, settings) is stored exclusively locally on your device. We have no access to it. If you delete the app or choose “Reset save game” in the settings, this data is deleted.

4. Location and weather

If you allow it, the app uses your approximate location so that your farm experiences the real weather of your region. Before sending, the coordinates are rounded to about one kilometre and transmitted to Apple Weather (WeatherKit, a service of Apple). Apple's privacy policy applies to the processing by Apple. We do not store your location and do not link it to you. You can revoke the permission at any time in the iOS settings. Without location, the game continues to work with its own weather.

5. In-app purchases

Purchases in the farm shop are handled entirely through Apple's App Store. We receive no payment data, no name and no Apple ID, only the confirmation signed by Apple of which item was purchased. Apple's privacy policy applies.

6. Notifications

Reminders (e.g. “The harvest is ripe”) are scheduled locally on your device. There is no server that sends messages to you. You can turn notifications off at any time in the app or in the iOS settings.

7. Crash reports

If you have agreed in the iOS settings to share analytics data with app developers, Apple provides us with anonymised crash reports. These contain no information that identifies you.

8. Contact by email

If you write to us at support@fntastic.ch , we use your message and email address only to answer your request and delete them when they are no longer needed.

9. Legal basis

We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). For users in the EU, processing is based on Art. 6(1)(a) (consent, location), (b) (contract performance, purchases) and (f) GDPR (legitimate interest, support).

10. Your rights

You can request access, correction or deletion of your data at any time and withdraw any consent you have given. Since we store no data about you on our own servers, this usually only concerns email enquiries. Write to us at support@fntastic.ch. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or with the competent supervisory authority.

11. Children

The Field does not knowingly collect personal data from children. Purchases are protected by Apple's Screen Time and Family Sharing settings.

12. Changes

If the app changes so that other data is processed, we will adapt this policy. The version published here applies at all times.
